4th edition of the RGCS Symposium on new collaborative practices

Jan 10, 2020

On January 23rd and 24th, Lyon will host the 4th annual symposium of the international collective RGCS (Research Group on Collaborative Spaces). Organized in partnership with emlyon business school, Sciences Po Lyon and Univ. Grenoble Alpes, the topic is: "Designing the Commons: Collaborative Spaces, Open Communities, Smart Cities".

Researchers, entrepreneurs, managers, activists, students, artists, public authorities and the curious are invited to share their ideas, practices and initiatives. This edition highlights new collaborative practices and their impact on society and organisations.

RGCS in a nutshell

RGCS is a think tank about and for new ways of working and living together. Collaborative spaces and movements are both research topics and levers to transform work practices. Created at the end of 2014, RGCS is today active in about thirty cities around the world (Paris, London, Montreal, NYC, Shanghai, Tokyo, Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam, Milan...).

Since the end of 2016, the network co-produces a new research method OWEE (Open Walked Event-Based Experimentations) aiming at transforming jointly academic and entrepreneurial work practices. This method aims at becoming a common for academics and entrepreneurs involved in it (e.g. with a sharing of symbolic capital of impact and quotations).
