Greetings from France where we have had an incredible weekend: fireworks and emotion from the Eiffel Tower for Bastille Day and an amazing final at The World Cup for “les Bleus” #worldchampions2018!
As the 2017-2018 academic year comes to an end, we are reaching out to you to let you know that a new dynamic of our emlyon alumni network is underway and we hope that you will be part of it!
For example, since March, several annual emlyon alumni gatherings have been organized across the globe: in Berlin, Brussels, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, allowing alumni to not only to reconnect but also to learn more about the green economy, French tech, entrepreneurship…
As our school is growing globally with 6 campuses around the world - Lyon, Paris, Saint Etienne, Shanghai, Casablanca, and most recently Bhubaneswar in India – so is our network.
Almost 22% of our alumni work or live outside of France, representing more than 6,000 alumni in 126 countries, including the following most popular destinations: Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America, China, Germany, Morocco and Belgium.
In order to help us in our goal to reinforce and professionalize our activities abroad, seven new alumni ambassadors have joined our team since January. Welcome to Aude, Maud, Stanislas, Augustin, Olivier, Jean-Christophe, and Thomas!
A special thank you to all the alumni who joined us on June 26th in Paris during our spectacular annual event at the Cirque d’Hiver! We shared with almost 1,000 participants our new Forever alumni film "We share more than memories" as well as the first footage of our new Alumni Stories collection with the testimony of Alix-Anne Farque, emlyon forever ambassador in Mexico City. During the event, we held the first edition of the Alumni Makers’ Awards during which the international network was well represented by Florence Pourchet, Managing Director at BNP PARIBAS in New York City, winner of the “Manager of the Year” category. Congratulations again Florence!
On July 18th a vote will take place during the General Assembly in order to adjust the ADEM articles of incorporation. Among other items, the proposal aims to increase the proportion of board members who live abroad, in order to better address alumni expectations. Please do not forget to vote! You have until Noon (Paris Time) July 18th to vote online.
As our network becomes more and more global, dynamic and accessible, it is our sincere wish to have your active participation no matter where you live. Hope to you see you soon!
Guillaume Touze, President of ADEM
