Catherine Jestin has been Airbus EVP Digital & Information Management since July 2021. She is based in Toulouse (France). The mission of the Digital & Information Management function is to define & then execute the Digital & Information Management strategy serving Airbus employees, customers and suppliers. It is an organization of 3.000 employees mainly based in France, Germany, UK, Spain and India but also in Canada, United States and China.
Prior to this assignment she was Airbus Chief Information Officer from March 2020 to June 2021 and Airbus Helicopters Chief Information Officer from July 2013 to February 2020.
She also worked for Rio Tinto during six years in Montreal, holding various vice-president positions in the Information Systems & Technology division (Head of Application Shared Competency Center, Regional CIO for Americas, Head of IS&T Governance, Strategy & Customer Engagement.
From August 1990 to May 2007, Catherine Jestin was employed by Accenture the last five years as a Partner. At Accenture, she participated in the implementation of numerous information systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ...) and new processes & organizations mainly for clients in the chemical, petroleum, utilities and metallurgy industries.
For two decades she has been committed to the education of girls in developing countries and supports four of them in India, Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar via Enfants du Mékong and Chrystel House associations. She has also contributed and still contributes to the various programmes in Accenture, Rio Tinto & Airbus aiming at promoting women in executive positions and she was selected in 2021 by NetExplo and the Unesco as one of 100 role models for the “We are the Future in Tech” initiative.
Catherine Jestin earned a Master degree (MSc) in Management from emlyon business school.
